Registration for NSELL's Fall 2014 baseball season is now open.
Fall baseball is a competitive program with opponents in other Newton leagues as well as Weston, Needham, and others. Games begin in early September and are typically played two times per week, one on Sunday and one during the week. The season lasts approximately seven weeks, plus playoffs.
The fall programs are extremely important for players’ development, since they are essentially the equivalent of another spring season of experience. For purposes of the fall league, participants must be age eligible for the 2015 Little League Spring Season. Each League is responsible for recruiting and registering their own team(s) and must provide a Little League Field and Umpires for games played at that field.
The cost of the Fall program is $125. Registrations made after August 23, 2014 are subject to a $30 late fee and placement is not guaranteed. Refunds may be requested before August 23, 2014 minus a $20 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after that date.
There are three divisions:
Majors - open to players who were on a NSELL Majors team during the Spring 2014 season. Additionally, Minors players who will be Little League age 12 for the Spring should register for Majors and will be placed on a Fall Majors team to gain experience.
AAA (Minors) - open to players who were on a Spring 2013 AAA team, and select players from the AA Division upon invitation by the Fall Commissioner.
AA (Minors) - open to players who were on a Spring 2013 AA team, and select players from the Farm Division who have kid pitch experience upon invitation by the Fall Commissioner.
Please register for the program based on the criteria above. Players who are moved up will be notified by the Commissioner and those registering for the incorrect program will be placed in the correct league. The decision of the Commissioner is final.
Newton North runs a program for T-Ball and Farm players open to all Newton residents. Please visit www.newtonnorthl.org for more information.

Minors players have been assigned to either the AA or AAA division based on a number of factors including coach recommendations and evaluations from previous teams and tryouts. The placement decisions were made by the Commissioners and are final.
We expect to have team assignments for T-Ball completed around the second week of April. Schedules for all divisions should be available around the second week of April.
We can always use more coaches! Please consider volunteering. While we do not take placement requests for players we do our best to assign coaches together - so if you'd like your player on another team with someone else you both should register as a coach or assistant coach with the other parent's name as your co-coach (if teams have not already been created).
Please remember we are a volunteer organization and depend on parents to coach. We do provide training and support at each league level.
No parent or volunteer may take the field without first registering and then being confirmed by the league! Please report any violations of this policy to the Commissioners. For our players' safety registration and background checks are required by NSELL, Little League International, and the State of Massachusetts.
Only those coaches listed on the team roster have been approved by NSELL!
